Chinese Super League

All the goals from the CSL round 12

Finally the Chinese Super League gets round 12 out of the way after it was supposed to be played back in June. International games behind two postponements of all these games. It’s worth the wait though, the race for the ACL hots up and the relegation dogfight gets intense as at least two games feature a flurry of late goals.

Chengdu 2-2 Shenzhen

A thrilling climax to this huge relegation clash between the bottom two teams. Shenzhen striker Dong Xuesheng, on-loan from Shanghai Shenhua, scores a brace to surely consign Chengdu to the second tier China League next season.

Shaanxi 1-3 Dalian

Another exciting climax, Shaanxi thought they had it in the bag with a late winner, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside. They then lose two goals in the closing minutes as Dalian pull fully clear of the relegation zone. Ouch.

Shandong 0-1 Qingdao

Shandong are on a bad run, this time a home defeat in the provincial derby against neighbours Qingdao. Han Peng, normally a prolific scorer for Shandong, makes a bad miss in this game.

Changchun 2-1 Beijing Guoan

Dissapointment on the road yet again for Guoan as they fail to hold a lead. Bcheng’s report has more.

Tianjin 3-0 Nanchang

Fairly predictable result here which leaves Nanchang deep in the relegation mire.

Jiangsu Sainty 2-0 Hangzhou Greentown

Solid result for Sainty keeps them in the race for an ACL place. Check ‘s report here.

Shanghai Shenhua 0-2 Guangzhou Evergrande

Shenhua match Guangzhou most of the way, but can’t get the ball in the net… so its another defeat. Check the report.

Henan Construction 2-1 Liaoning

Henan get one over Liaoning which puts the homeside closer to Chinese Super League safety, and messes up Liaoning’s ACL qualification hopes.
