Chinese international striker Gao Lin struck in the last minute to give Evergrande a point against R&F in the match of the round – a pulsating Guangzhou Derby.
Guangzhou Evergrande and Guangzhou R&F were well matched, both playing an expansive game. Evergrande took the lead after 10 minutes after a defensive blunder by R&F. The visitors equalised just before half time with a penalty and took the lead courtesy of a Rentinho free-kick, before the final minute goal got Evergrande the point to keep them in touch with R&F who are now on top of the CSL table.
Friday saw a top of the table clash seeing third place Shanghai SIPG play host to first place Shandong Luneng. Shanghai SIPG took the lead after 9 minutes after a lovely bit of link up play was slotted home by Hulk. Shandong Luneng then pulled one back on the stroke of half time after Cisse powered a shot from outside the box past the Shanghai keeper.
However, Shanghai carried on pressing and in the last ten minutes Wei Shihao scored a winner fired a rocket in to the top corner. This bought Shanghai level on points with Shandong.
Meanwhile Beijing Guoan played host to Henan Jianye. Beijing dominated on almost all fronts and with 75 minutes played, Zhang Chiming slotted home to give the home side a 1-0 victory.
Jiangsu Suning slipped up again with the visiting Chongqing Lifan scoring after 50 minutes and being doubled by Fernandinho 5 minutes later. With a few minutes left Jiansgu Suning scored a consolation, but the game finished 1-2 to Chongqing leaving big-spending Jiangsu in crisis mode already.
On Saturday Guizhou Zhicheng played out a scoreless draw against a visiting Tianjin Teda.
Hebei Fortune dispatched as visiting Shanghai Shenhua 4-2, in a game that was a lot closer than the score line suggests. Falling behind after 11 minutes, Hebei quickly pulled level after 2 minutes. Then added 2 more shortly before the half hour. Shortly after the break Shanghai Shenhua narrowed the gap with a goal from Moreno. But a minute later the gap was extended again with a Gao Zhunyi header. This moved China Hebei closer to the top end of the table.
On Sunday after going 1-0 up it looked like Changchun Yatai would leave the foot of the table after 54 minutes. 3 minutes later though Liaoning Whowin equalised. A 1-1 draw however was enough to give Changchun their first point of the season.
To round off proceedings Tianjin Quanjian hosted strugglers Yanbian Fude. Neither side impressed and a draw looked tto be on the cards until Tianjin got a winner on 77 minutes to move well and truly clear of the drop zone, and leave Yanbian still with only 1 point to their name.
